Hey, I'm Romanus
Currently, I'm a junior studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at Rice University, where I research ML applications in wireless systems with Dr. Rahman Doost-Mohammady under Rice's RENEW project . I've also worked on glucose prediction models for diabetes patients with Dr. Ray Simar and worked on FinFET efficiency improvements at Rice's WIDE Lab .
Previously, I built full-stack AI systems at a stealth health-tech startup (production RAG pipelines, ML infrastructure) and AI implementations for businesses in Houston at Agentic AI Services .
Originally from Nairobi, Kenya. I run 5Ks. I have met two of Kenya's presidents, Kenya's ambassador to the United States, & two congressmen. And, I play three instruments: guitar, bass, and piano (not simultaneously, unfortunately).
